San Francisco’s small businesses are just starting to re-open after five months of forced closure because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They do not have the finances to immediately pay back rent and other charges they have been hit with.
SOMA Filipinas and Manilatown small businesses and non-profit community organizations are the heart of the Filipino cultural districts of San Francisco. These tenants are in jeopardy of mass evictions that will wipe out a community already suffering from the economic and health impacts of the pandemic.
